Fiocruz celebrates 125 years

🎉Today, May 25th, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) celebrates its 125th anniversary. On this date, we celebrate Fiocruz’s commitment to the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), to innovation in health, and to building a more just and supportive future for all.

In this special carousel, Cadernos de Saúde Pública celebrates Fiocruz’s legacy, revisiting three articles published in our pages over the years.

The manuscripts highlight Fiocruz’s strategic role in public policies for science, technology, and innovation in health, its role as an agent of technological development geared towards the needs of the SUS, and its defense of democracy as the foundation of public health.

📚 Long live science! Long live Public Health! Long live Fiocruz!
