From “combined prevention” to “comprehensive prevention”: building the response to the syndemic with adolescents and youth in São Paulo, Brazil (2020-2023)

Thematic Area: Sexual Health and Youth

An article in the new Thematic Area at CSP proposes a transition from “combined prevention” to “comprehensive prevention” in the care of sexual and reproductive health for adolescents and young people in peripheral areas of São Paulo.

The authors point out that valuing everyday scenarios and the active participation of youth has proven essential to building creative, human rights-based responses to contexts of inequality and misinformation.
