International Workers’ Day is an excellent opportunity to reflect on working conditions and their impact on the health and lives of working people.
From discussions on the fragility of public policies aimed at workers’ health—marked by underreporting of health issues and the fragmentation of institutional responsibilities—to recent analyses of the advances and threats to vocational rehabilitation in Brazil, the articles published in CSP reveal that promoting safe, dignified, and healthy work environments remains an urgent commitment.
Valuing work also means defending health, rights, and dignity. On this May 1st, CSP celebrates the contributions of workers and reaffirms the relevance of science in strengthening policies and practices that promote better living and working conditions for all of society.
