Internationalization of scientific publishing in a multipolar world

🌎The internationalization of science is often seen as a way to broaden visibility and knowledge exchange. But is it truly a two-way process?

📚A new editorial in Cadernos de Saúde Pública questions the challenges faced by countries in the Global South, such as Brazil, in integrating their research into the major circuits of world science.

🗣️ “The result is that knowledge produced in dialogue with complex realities ceases to circulate widely, while a unidirectional model of science, centered on the richest countries and large international publishers, is reinforced,” emphasize the Editors-in-Chief.
