Survival time analysis in women with breast cancer using distributional regression models

Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among women in Brazil, with marked inequalities between regions.

A new study published in CSP analyzes factors that influence the survival time of patients in Campina Grande, using advanced statistical models (GAMLSS).

The analyses showed that variables such as the number of hormone therapy and chemotherapy sessions, as well as molecular markers (p53 and estrogen receptor), are directly associated with survival time.
